Administrative Communications Privacy Notice

Nisga’a Ts’amiks Vancouver Society (“NTVS”) respects the privacy of individuals who choose to receive administrative communications from the Society.

This notice relates only to NTVS administrative and SMS communications and it applies specifically to personal information collected for NTVS administrative communications, including the Society’s SMS/text-message notification service. It does not constitute or replace any broader organizational privacy policy that may apply to other NTVS programs, services, employment records, financial records, or other activities.

• Records of consent to receive SMS communications 

Contact information collected for administrative communications may be used to provide:

• Community announcements 
• Program and service updates 
• Event notices and reminders 
• Registration or application deadlines 
• Office or service updates 
• Other administrative notices from NTVS 

The SMS service is intended primarily for informational communications.

Individuals who subscribe to NTVS text messages voluntarily provide their mobile number and consent to receive informational SMS communications.

Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.

Consent to receive SMS messages is voluntary and is not a condition of receiving NTVS programs or services.

Recipients may opt out at any time by replying STOP.

Mobile phone numbers, SMS consent records, and opt-in information collected for the NTVS SMS program will be used only for purposes related to NTVS administrative communications.

Mobile information and SMS opt-in consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

NTVS may use service providers, including SMS and technology providers, to deliver administrative communications. These providers may process information only as necessary to provide services on behalf of NTVS.

NTVS does not sell contact information collected through its administrative SMS program.

Information may be provided to service providers that support the operation of the communication service, where necessary to deliver messages or maintain the service.

Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law.

Recipients can unsubscribe from SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to an NTVS text message.

After opting out, the recipient will no longer receive SMS communications through that subscription unless they subsequently choose to opt in again.

NTVS takes reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect contact information collected for administrative communications from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

Contact information and consent records will be retained only as reasonably necessary to administer the SMS communication service and maintain appropriate records of consent and opt-out requests.
